Price and sale price in Google Shopping

Price is the attribute Google verifies hardest. Crawlers compare the feed price against your product page, and a mismatch suspends the item until it agrees. When a product is on sale, Google wants the regular price in price and the discounted price in sale_price, which earns a strikethrough in the ad.

• Prices come from each variant. When Shopify's compare at price marks a sale, the app sends the compare at value as price and the selling price as sale_price automatically.
• The currency follows your store, or the market's currency on a market bound feed.
• Feeds bound to a Shopify Market carry that market's contextual prices, so regional pricing matches the regional landing page.

• Don't send prices that differ from the landing page. Automatic item suspensions follow.
• Don't hide required fees. The feed price must be what the shopper actually pays before shipping.
• Don't point one feed's prices at another region's storefront. Bind the feed to the right market instead.
• Don't set a sale price equal to or above the regular price. Google ignores or flags it.
